Sheet Metal Fabricator

 

Summary – Sheet Metal workers are responsible for fabricating metal sheets into a variety of parts. The successful candidate will effectively read work instructions, interpret drawings/PCM’s, fabricate parts using tooling and available machines and communicate with the Sheet Metal Supervisor to ensure timely completion of all work..

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Accurate use of Calipers, height gauges and other inspection tools.
• Must be able to set up and operate press brake, band saw, notcher, etc.
• Adapt and promote best in class practices, foster collaboration across the Company, ensures smooth implementations of solutions and build the overall capability of the organization.
• Must be able to prepare order of operations and run complex forming and bend operations.
• Will have previous knowledge and understanding in interpreting blue prints and tolerances.Must understand flat pattern layout.
• Must be able to effectively move parts through the department and be cognizant of work instructions.
• Must work with a safety conscious mindset at all times.
